Recently (July 2017), I discovered a new
functionality of OneDrive which allows multiple users to work on the same file
concurrently and I think it is called real time collaboration. This seems to be an amazing feature if
you are preparing a presentation and you are collaborating with someone who is
in the other side of the world. Unfortunately, it can be a huge inconvenience
if you are using SmartView.
As you may know, SmartView uses
the HsTbar.xla to execute the SmartView Functions. You can see the location of the
HsTbar.xla in the Edit Links of the excel file. It is known that if you move an excel file from a machine where SmartView is installed
in the folder C:\Hyperion to a machine where SmartView is installed in the
folder C:\Oracle, the location of the HsTbar.xla will not be automatically
updated and all the SmartView functions will be corrupted and you need to
update all the formulas. On the other hand, if you save the file on a different machine, the HsTbar.xla is automatically updated.
This functionality of HsTbar.xla is also replicated when you are
using the real-time collaboration functionality of OneDrive. When this feature
is enabled, OneDrive is saving real time the file to the cloud repository and
Excel opens the file from that drive. Thus, the location of the HsTbar.xla is updated and all the SmartView formulas are getting corrupted because the HsTbar.xla is set to open from the OneDrive location and not your laptop.
As far as I know the only workaround is to disable this feature until Oracle release a new version of Smartview.
Any thoughts? Have you heard a different approach?

Hi, did you find any solution for this? Or how to fix this? As i have same problem. That a sharepoint url appears in all files when copied to folders synchronized on onedrive.
